The Tangle BWP3: PREY OPPORTUNITY

Grace had ventured far from her willowy home, accidentally following the scent of Warbone and a few others. Why were so many out of the territory? 
Eventually, the sounds of aggression rung out and echoed to the russet female, and she picked up her pace until she was galloping towards her alpha. She stopped onto to assess the situation, and her eyes were drawn to the fallen deer between her alpha and another. The yearling knew that meat from that deer would be highly appreciated by all of the marauders, and since it seemed that they were merely ripping into it for a claim. 
The coywolf female lashed out at Warbone, and a snarl ripped from Graces throat.
She needed to get to that kill.
As silent as she could, hoping her dark pelt would meld with the brown earth, the faded girl limped up behind Warbone for cover, golden eyes locked onto the deer. Surely, she could not take the carcass. It was simply too big for her. A leg, however, was not. Stark had a good hold of it, it seemed, but a Saltwinter male had an antler. If she jumped in to take meat, either he would have to let go to retaliate against her, or keep hold of it. Letting go was basically giving them the carcass, so he'd better hope someone else stopped her from taking a leg. Grace glanced to her alpha, hoping to convey her plan through a look and get a yes or no, but there was no time to wait. If they were going to get ANYTHING in their bellies, failing was not an option.
Go! She bolted forward, locking her fangs into the hip closest to Stark, and started to rip it away from the rest. She could feel meat ripping, tendons snapping, and a shudder ran through her tugging frame. This was what her brother had done to her, did they feel the same predatory instinct that she did now?
Grace prayed that someone, anyone, was watching her back and warding off attacks. If she could take this away and bury it somewhere, maybe there would be enough time to grab another. Assuming the fight wasn't won, by then.
