Ammie had cut herself off on purpose, and was glad he asked her for what to do instead of either being too stubborn for that, or to wing it. Asking showed he really was worried, and he did in fact care. 
     "I think talking about it would help you two a lot. I think she's fighting with herself trying to decide how likely it is. Once she realizes you aren't going to get sick of her antics, she'll likely calm down."
