The heat came once more, ravaging her body from the second she woke that dawn. This time, she embraced the feelings that it brought, and the consqeuences of staying where she could be reached. Yet, it would be only her mate that touched her, as she knew what he wanted. But she knew what she wanted, and could not do so without leaving misery in her path. Instead, she nudged awake her mate, laying beside her with no shame for his own actions. She envied him. But now was not the time to think upon her failures. There was no taking them back.

Yet, she wanted him, the way she had thought of before. They had never done anything yet, but she knew she did not need to feel cautious. His chivalry was what had drawn her to him, unlike the other males she had come across prior to their introduction. He treated her well, more than she deserved. It was not fair she could not care that same way.
