Larksong Grotto babylon the great

He hid himself away in the grotto, not just to hide himself from the sweltering sun of the summer solstice, but to stave away any temptation to seek out the pale woman or her child. It pained him to know that he must sequester himself from one whom he cared for deeply, but Reek knew it was for the best. His faith was strong and would not be shaken by the temptations of the Heartless One. And so, he spent his time alone, praying for both forgiveness and guidance in dealing with his earthly desires.

He knew a time was coming in which he would be made pure; he waited with baited breath. His head perked up as he heard the voice of Kesheph calling for him. Rising to his feet, Reek made his way to the Grotto's mouth. There, he saw herbs strewn about; frogs, a snakeskin, and feathers from a bird that Reek couldn't quite place. He didn't know there use, but could only assume they played a part in the ritual.

Drawing his gaze away from the supplies, Reek looked to the Seer and asked, "Is it time?"
