Eljay tried keeping all the pups together and not bothering each other too much — a task that was more difficult than he had anticipated before his baby siblings were born. He'd had some practise on Peregrine and Fox' brood, luckily, for the four boys had been difficult and wriggly too, but it was still somehow different with his own baby siblings.

For some time they stayed together, playing and eventually napping by each other's sides.
