The closeness had been enjoyable, something he'd unconsciously desired for a long while now. So much time had passed since they'd first met, yet it'd never been enough to make the boy lose interest in the other. Hearing his name or even just thinking about their lesson together had always been enough to make him smile after he'd left Teekon, but it hadn't been until right then that he'd actually noticed that. Up until that point, it'd always just been written off as mere coincidences, but no longer did that seem to be the case. He liked Aesop, he really did, and he'd found himself wanting to reach back out once the man had pulled away.

Resisting the urge, he'd nodded his head, agreeing with the suggestion. "I'll be back before you know it," he'd said with a smile. After touching his nose to his friend's neck one last time, Alastor had turned and headed off, thinking himself ready to confront his past.
