The trek to the borders was a silent one, as well as continuous. Not once had he stopped, only ever slowed. It was important for him to ensure that Thuringwethil did not leave him all alone there, and so each decrease in his pace had been followed-up on with a quick glance over his shoulder. After each look backwards, he’d pick his speed back up, content with the fact that she hadn’t gone anywhere. It wasn’t until they’d ventured into the outskirts of the territory that the pattern had changed, for it was in that general area that he’d stopped entirely and looked back at her.

It was to the borders that he had wished to go, but was at a loss in regards to what they might then do there. As far as he could tell, there were no other wolves around that might be looking to join, and so he knew not what came next. For that reason, his attention was given to the Heda, awaiting whatever instructions or demonstrations that she might be able to provide for him.
She swept in and stole the flame,
leaving a dragon without his breath
