The idea that this adult male before him was speaking to him came as small shock to the boy. The idealistic ways of a youth were some slightly foreign to him. He had been raised by two strong fighters as parents and as such the very idea of a kind stranger was an oddity for him. His father spoke little and though Oak Maniitok adored his namesake he couldn't keep his silence for as long as his father could. The long limb shaggy furred boy didn't know who he wanted to be like, but he knew the silent brutish style of his father wasn't his forte.

"Hello." His tone laced with the softness found of adolescence, soon enough his octaves would drop and he would sound more of a man, but for now he was cursed with his strange teenage ways. The male before him seemed highly intelligent the glint in the other males eyes told Oak Maniitok that this male was a deep thinker and perhaps a philosophical type. He thought of his elder brothers Sterntooth and Greyfox, the Alpha and the Spiritual. It was from the stories of them that would guide him in his current situation. With a moist tongue he licked his jowls remembering that those of a more intimidating nature would not introduce themselves. "I'm Oak Maniitok and you are?" So Oak Maniitok did.
