It seemed just as Grayday left, Nikai showed up. Though, thankfully, Valette and Steady were detached and their son probably hadn't seen them while they were intimate. However, with a keen nose, Nikai could tell there was something different in the air. Valette smoothly attempted to change the subject, and Steady went with it, smiling proudly.
He nosed Valette's neck. Yup! We're official now! he confirmed, looking to Nikai to see how he might react to that. The pups had only known Valette and Steady together, so it might be more confusing that they weren't together before now. But, if it got the subject off the "weird smell", Steady would gladly explain something else.
