Bazi grimaced. Ferdie outed her jealousy immediately, and it embarrassed her to have it so plainly stated. Nightingale's hurt was almost palpable, which made her feel worse. " By this point, her eyes had adjusted to the darkness. She spied the whelp in the corner, nibbling on the fish that Ferdie had brought inside. For the first time since Nightingale's arrival, Bazi addressed the child personally. "Maybe.. you..could bring them a gift. I know a place, and you're small enough to fit." She offered a stiff little smile, and turned back to Ferdie with a whisper, "We can cover some basic scouting skills on the way to make her seem more well-rounded."
