Blackfeather Woods garden on bones

In his patrolling, the dark-haired child had come across a fallen crow. At first, Atshen had hesitated in his approach to the creature as he believed that it would fly away as he approached. But, upon the Silencer's watch, Atshen realized that the bird was unable to fly. It hopped about the sunlight-dappled ground, fluttering its wings-- yet, it never took off. Instead, Atshen could see that there was something wrong with it's left wing. Awkwardly, the bird held it at half-mast, as if it were testing the waters with its wingspan. 

Soon enough, Atshen stalked forward. Noticing the wolf's approach the crow hopped helplessly, hoping to escape despite its obvious handicap. Soon enough, after picking up his pace, Atshen was upon it and forced it to the ground with a shrill cry. This sound caused something to stir within, something that drove the child's next actions completely. 

The bird flailed under Atshen's weight, attempting to escape. Atshen, on the other hand, would not let this happen. Instead, he applied more pressure onto the creature and sought its good wing with his fangs. Grabbing on, Atshen tugged, easily pulling the bird's limb out of its socket. It gave a mighty cry at this, and Atshen pulled back and smiled with the wing still in his mouth, relishing the pain that the other felt. 

Though this satisfaction he felt consumed him, he knew that this feeling was nothing in comparison to the feeling of taking another wolf's life. But, for now, while he had nobody kill, torturing this bird would allow him to get a moderate fix of adrenaline.
