He already knew he'd love to have her as a formal party of the family, hopefully in the form of a sister-in-law. As they neared the den, he decided that if things didn't work out that way between the Healer and Atticus, he would ask her to become his adoptive sister. Sure, it was corny and a bit weird... but Peregrine liked and respected her that much.
