The girl followed, big eyes blinking at the surrounding word as she took her first steps past what was safe and known.. 

It seemed barely a second for that exhilarating sensation - unknown scents! sounds aplenty! - to be broken by the approach of her father and Nova turned to face him, wondering if it was considered too soon or not.
