In response to the she wolf's jumpy behavior, Brunhilde merely leaned backwards so as to avoid any immediate attacks, anchoring her toes in dirt so as to not actually step back. The reaction was to be expected, she supposed, and was entirely anticipating a set of fangs to be barred in her direction, maybe even have a pair of jaws snapping mere inches from her form. It didn't phase her, hence her lack of personal space, but if she could avoid the stranger's teeth by leaning away, she'd certainly do so. Surprisingly enough however, after recovering from the shock, the wolf seemed to calm down completely, not a single trace of anger or aggression evident in her features. Good. That'd make this easier.

The brute's ears nonchalantly flicked to the question before huffing a simple response, "Hungry." Because yes, in her time as a loner, she'd totally shirked her birth name "Brunhilde" and swapped it out for her constant state of being. Well, as far as this wolf needed to know anyway. Her goal wasn't to make friends, just fill her stomach, so why did she need a name?

"Y'know where a good place to get food is?" She rumbled, getting straight to the point. She made no effort to obtain this female's name, give her space, or even apologize for surprising her. Again, she just wanted to know where the food was.
