Taking over since Keelut will be staying inactive for a while

While the disappearance of Koume had barely shaken Damien's interest, the three Spiderlings that remained within the forest were to be secured and protected at all costs. Potema's brood had a purpose, a reason to exist, and despite Koume's clear disinterest for her bloodline's traditions and purpose, Damien still believed that Vaati, Ganondorf and Kotake had what it took to fulfill his expectations.

Koume's case was a shame, a waste of time and resources, but Damien had already prepared for any of the spiderlings' departure. He'd learned through Kendra's own decision to find her own path away from the dark forest that there was no way to control the mortals' fate, he couldn't un-weave what plans the webspinner had for each soul, nor did he plan to try it anytime soon. The dark prince had no other choice than to work with what he was given, and she had allowed him to keep three potentially gifted children to mold to his liking.

He had found her by chance, or perhaps he was meant to find her; but whatever the reason he paused his advance to watch her move through the forest. A flash of white in her vicinity pulled his eyes away from her, and through he didn't identify his figure at first Damien immediately drew a new path towards his niece to find out what was going on.

It was Keelut, hard enough to see despite his pale coloration, and his presence did not seem to please Kotake at all. Damien stepped into the scene with a snarl, warning Keelut away with a stare so deep that not even the mad acolyte could handle, and that was enough for the two Meloniis to be left alone.

What's unfortunate? he spoke to her as Keelut trotted away, having heard the girls words upon his arrival. It was a rare thing to hear her speak, being known for her laconism. Damien made his way around her as though he was embracing her with his presence, and stood beside her in a familiar and protective way. It was hard to tell whether she was upset or this was her usual emotional state, Damien wasn't precisely an expert in what emotions respected, but still he was making an effort to show interest.
