Hemlock wanted to scoop him close, pepper her kisses across the boy's face, to laugh and bask in his joy. She couldn't embarrass the male that way however, even if it was just the two of them present. Or was it? Roarke tugged and shook his head, the scent of the hare traveling the more that it's blood dripped from their game. It certainly wasn't the most majestic move for the poor thing, but, life was life and the hare unfortunately had lost that game. Above Roarke a figure moved, Hemlock's eyes narrowing as her hackles lifted in response to a potential threat; those eyes, however, she knew the moment she'd found them in the foliage and then Lotte winked at her.

Thankfully her mouth was full to save her the urge of pushing her paw in her mouth again. She lifted her head a bit, using her height to her advantage before she shook her head again, returning back towards the earth. The next time the boy tugged she'd let him win; he hadn't backed down and his rising personality only made Hemlock's heart soar with pride.
