Phantom Hollow it's a mad, mad, mad, world

Fog swirled around the stilted limbs of the beast as Snake spun and twirled, gleefully watching when the vapors danced to his tune. Black tongue sang eerie lullabies and filled the deafening silence with something other than the ominous sound the trees made as they waved about in the gentle breeze. The night was young and the stars gleamed dully above the canopy of pale leaves. The slender body of the malicious, black beast slithered its way throughout the woods. Eyes looked ahead, green depths maddeningly wild as the figure gracefully skipped this way and that.

The man stopped abruptly, black tongue falling loosely from his jaws as his cruel song ended. It licked the outer area of his maw before slapping back into Snake's jagged-toothed mouth. In a quick, jerking motion, the man shook out his inky coat; his fur appeared almost as a liquid before settling back upon its narrow-framed host.

He had reached his destination - a place to sit and wait for a toy that wondered into the trees, only to fall into his trap. The man stood, claws pressed deep into the dirt, his stooped head hanging low, eyes searching for something. Long, inky tail moved closer to his body. Slowly, the jowls of the mad man began to curl, revealing a crazed, milky white grin, tendrils of saliva sticking to the sides of his distasteful smile like venom. He looked, and he waited. 

The man stood still, almost unmoving as he looked forwards, lowered head tilted almost unnaturally to the right as he stared. His long, dark fur only seemed to lightly rise and fall when the wind approached and swept over his body. He was alike a statue. He didn't stir, he didn't waiver. He simply remained, awaiting his new fun.
