sorry for the delay!

Lavender slept against her mother's chest, cozied up next to her siblings. She still couldn't hear much, or see anything, but life was good for her. She was just a tiny little fiery blob, sleeping and eating away the days until her life got more interesting. She snored a little, though it was more of a squeak that would randomly happen when she exhaled. She awoke suddenly, having that falling feeling that babies sometimes got. She realized that she was on the ground, and wiggled back into a comfortable place.

Her mother's nose gently nuzzled Lavender's chest, and the girl yawned loudly. She stuck out a small paw and reached for the nose that soothed her, and made contact with it a few times before letting her paws settle back under her. Her mother began telling the story, and if Lavender could've heard it, she would've been even happier.
