Gwen, too, was thinking back to their previous conversation. She felt as though she wanted to let it out, all of it, but she just... wasn't ready. Or was she? To be honest, the wolfess didn't know how she felt about it anymore. Just... empty. She was not emotionless, nor would she ever be, but she just felt so hollow. "I've felt lost for quite some time now." She responded simply, gaze returning to the burning sky as she spoke.

"Sorry... I get stuck in the past a lot. There's so much I just can't move on from, however much I try." Not a single word she spoke was a lie - this was the truth. Sad as it may seem, it was the reality of her situation. "I've been hunting, adding to the caches, and I've been patrolling the borders when I can - I'm not doing nothing." She was working actively, contributing where she could... just not socialising. Something just kept her away from others, like she didn't want to be near anyone. Maybe she had just lost faith in others. She had lost so much and so fast, perhaps she didn't think she could rely on anyone anymore. Maybe that was what kept her to herself.

Gwen sighed, lowering her head to rest it neatly on her snow-coloured paws. "I'm trying... It's just hard."
