Instinctively, Dauntless ducked himself down into the grass when the large wolf addressed him. His tiny, bear-like eyes looked quickly back and forth for his father or sisters. Seeing that they were not around, he looked shyly back toward the other wolf. Her paws and muzzle were dirty from her digging, which he found to be humorous.
