Maegi moved quickly, pulling her ankles out of Ramsay's limited range as she turned and hobbled away. He tried to peek up and over his breast to see who was coming, but an uncomfortable twinge at the base of his skull coupled with his nearly nonexistent neck made that impossible. He rocked back and forth on his spine several times, whining as his useless legs flailed, and for the first time ever, Ramsay knew what it felt like to be a turtle.

It took longer than it should have for him to figure out how to right himself. Lacking the requisite flexibility, Ramsay had to get creative, using his legs as airborne fulcrums to heave his body onto its side so that he could hop to his feet. By the time he returned to all fours, Maegi was already rearing up against Ganondorf's chest and rooting around at his muzzle for food. He was quick to join her, only he couldn't reach that high with his short back and neck, so Ramsay had to settle for his nose poking into Ganon's breastbone and whimpering excitedly. He recognized the crimson wolf from times before, but now he was old enough to associate him with good things: warmth, food, and the closest thing to family Ramsay had besides his litter mates and Vaati.
