Whilst he was full of boundless energy and enthusiasm when awake, Lucca’s way of sleeping was akin to a fallen tree. Exhausted, he would suddenly collapse into a heap wherever and whenever and would not rouse unless forcibly awoken. Today, that rude awakening came in the form of his name being screeched right into his ear canal. He immediately knew the perpetrator was Clover (who else possessed such a loud voice?) but was barely able to open his mouth to protest before she plunged her paws into his side.

He was winded by his sister for what seemed like the fifth time this week and so began his usual rolling and wheezing routine while she was then assaulted by Tegan. Thinking his brother was fighting for his honour, Lucca silently cheered him on through a few encouraging thumps of his tail while still gasping for air.
