King Elk Forest You know you're right

The burly woman had placed both front paws against the base of a planted tree, standing at an angle where her top half was elevated as her bottom paws were placed firmly on the ground. Her grey eyes were locked on the marks in front of her. She wasn’t sure what was causing the marks. It didn’t look like claw marks and she didn’t think that the elk would scratch their antlers against the wood. Her curious was peaking, but Gracious’s ears turned back at the chuff.

She popped her paws off the front tree and landed in the snow with a loud smoosh noise. Turning around, she returned the chuff before offering a smile to the woman. “Greetings, friend,” she offers quietly, walking a few paces closer to be in hearing distance, “What brings you out here?”
