Moonspear leap of faith

Charon looked genuinely pleased, and that singular smile sent a high tune singing in the young omega's heart. It was worth every ounce of training so far, and the enthusiasm set him positively glowing (albeit still winded).

His next comment took a bit of the shine off, but not a whole lot. There was little in this world that could keep Gannet down for long; when a person focused only on the positives, it was hard to dwell on the past. "I don't understand." He said in response, then gave a small shrug. "But yeah." He recalled his conversation with Liffey, and that his presence seemed to have been at the crux of it all. "Sorry," he finished, glancing sideways at him. He didn't know if Charon blamed him or not, or if they still would have gone if he had never showed up. He just wanted to say it regardless.
