She caught his scent before he spoke, yet she made no move at either, closing her eyes. Laying there for minutes on end, she didn't speak. Her body ached. She wanted to sleep. But she knew sleep wouldn't help, and so she opened her eyes. Staring out at the sea, the only sounds were the birds and the breeze. At last she sat up, but still didn't face him. She spoke, her emotions concealed except for exhaustion as she wrapped her tail around her paws. )
What does that mean? Those words...what do they mean?
