Oblivious to the pitter-patter of rainfall beyond the family's hollow, Dacio busied himself doing what he did best: nursing. He nosed among his two sisters, nudging roughly between them as he wriggled comically toward their dam's undersides, and latched hungrily onto the frst teat that presented itself for the taking.
He drank deep, tiny forepaws paddling his mother's soft underbelly to better the flow of milk onto his mouth. Dacio had been slow to accept the newest development that he'd roused to that morning, but when milk was on the menu it no longer concerned him that the world was always moving. Food made everything better, after all, and he did not voice his outrage when daylight flooded his new sense of sight.
Unable to drink any more, the lone boy of the litter released his mother's willing nipple and rudely emitted a loud burp, before flopping to his side to better accomodate the swell of his full belly with a satisfied grunt.
