A large, pale golden muzzle came to hover over him. Dacio's fresh eyes opened wide in wonder as he attempted to make out the finer details of his father's features, and his stubby tail wiggled happily at his backside.

Dad swiped a few kisses across Dacio's tufted crown and emitted something, a low rumbling sound which delighted him greatly. The dark-pointed Goufa responded with his own cheerful "rrrr," and sought to return his sire's affection by comically licking the air between them.
