There was a row nearby: something racing, tearing, scorching across the land without heed or thought. Atomsk lifted his head from his paws, turning his regal head slowly to watch the progression of a seemingly frightened pup streak by in a race with no opponents. He waited to see what was chasing him, or what he might be heading for, but when the young wolf disappeared he found that there was nothing behind or ahead that prompted such a reckless run. He heaved himself to his paws, picking up after the youngster with the intent to make sure he was claimed by no other predator than himself.

When he found the boy, he was alone and sobbing, his lean sides flexing in and out quickly with the stress he could smell a mile away. Atomsk gave him a wide girth, coming around so that when he approached, it was from the boy's front. Though no in full view, he kept quite a distance from him, flopping down to the ground so that he might seem less intimidating. He gave his argent nape a shake before settling on his side, leaning heavy on his elbow, as he watched with inviting interest to see what the boy would do.
