Blood. It stained his pristine pelt, his fresh scent, tainted his being being in a mixture of his own and that of the opponent he had faced just moments ago. A clash of fangs to fight for the morcels left on a carcass. A free meal that could fill your belly more so than a small beast one might find. Normally the brute wouldn't bother with a fight for some morcels, to waste energy on something that was to be eaten to the sake of not using any energy - but the other man was slender.

The darker wolf was obviously lacking in nutrition, desperate for a meal, his mind occupied with the scent of food rather than keeping on the individual who challenged him for the meal. It was a rather easy fight despite the mild wounds Rosencrantz obtained, the bite on his flank bled the most but it was nothing that wouldnt heal in time. In a day or two it should scab over hard enough.

Now was just interested in washing himself off before the blood soaked into his undercoat. No limp or indication that the man was sore, he simply walked forward, eyes focused on the water while his ears kept alert to listen for anyone that may be near by. A full belly surely did help to keep a leveled head, mind clear as he walked smoothly into the chilled water. Immediately the red stains faded around him, allowing the water to reach his shoulders as he dipped him self from head to toe to ensure all of him was cleaned.

He was aware of the damsel near by, but didnt bother with her for the time being while he busied himself with sanitation first. The bite on his flank was more obvious now that the crimson had been washed away, shredded his soft flesh while other cuts became obvious on his face, and shoulder - nothing too serious but enough to give his young physique an aged look. He was proud of such things, some day he would wear a scar with pride. For now, his metabolism was too high to allow scars to remain visible.
