-Just a cameo, Oryx will be in and out in this one post.-
--------------------------------------------------
Oryx, abiding by the laws that had been set before her, had set out to find as many helpful herbs as she could before the ground froze. Of course, all things with leaves were more or less useless by this point, as they had withered away before she’d had the time to properly dry them out and store them, but tubers and roots were still useful. Along the creek, the vegetation was in excellent condition, so she had managed to find herself several helpful herbs and dig them up, but now came the precarious predicament of carrying them back to the cache which she had dug...And she didn’t want to linger too near the borders, lest the males think she might have been wanting to leave or perform a patrol- and neither would be good.

Opening her mouth as wide as she could, she did her best to pick up the pile of roots she’d gathered, but had to try several times to get them all clutched inside her mouth, and kept there while she walked. Naturally, she had a flowy gait that allowed her to carry her herbs carefully, but that didn’t make her jaw hurt any less. By the time she had travelled for fifteen minutes, her jaw had begun to ache and by half an hour, she’d begun to feel tears stinging at the corners of her eyes. She put the herbs down and gave her jaw a break, working it so that the muscles didn’t clamp up, before she reluctantly went after the herbs again, gathering them back into her mouth and continuing along on her way.

As she did so, she heard a loud splash, followed by a female voice...Wondering what could have been the matter, she was drawn toward the creek to see what had transpired- and saw the beautiful, blue-eyed female with a fish that she had caught, and with her was the female with the ashen pelt, and eerie but beautiful light gaze. She recognized the both of them, but was somewhat horrified to see that Faeryn had been fishing...Hunting was for the males. Fortunately, with her mouth stretched wide and full of herbs, her face was more or less devoid of facial expression as she couldn’t have tweaked her lips in one direction or another if she had tried.

She did her best to smile with her eyes at the two females- but the pain in her jaw had begun to creep in again, so she excused herself with a low bow of her head and a wave of her tail. Silently, she retreated into the wilderness, hastening her step so that she could finally deposit her herbs safely and give her tired, sore jaws a rest from carrying them...But part of her also wanted to get as far away from Faeryn as possible, so she did not get punished for her sister’s behavior. Quicksilver too could get herself in trouble if she was seen fraternizing with a female who had been caught fishing. Oryx would not be the one to inform the males, or even Addison. This would be a secret she kept, but she would do her best to avoid getting caught with the females who defied the order of Rosings.
