She has had this happen multiple times, thinking about it. Meeting someone for a few minutes, and they inquire something before leaving. Desdemona wasn't warm enough to offer them more, as all her desires focused on simply keeping the borders safe, and intruderers away. She held no desire to offer the lady to stay the night, nor' for a meal, as prey was scarce in the forest.
