Which sort of plants grow around here? There's probably more variety here than in the tundra, Ivev mused, glancing around them. Near the clear Totoka river grew small, bell-like plants amongst the reeds, and flowers dried in the autumn grassy banks. The forest upriver was tinged with the smell of mold and decay, like fungi, and small bushels of herbs thrived above the roots of trees. Although Ivev was aware of what lived alongside her, she didn't know their purpose besides feeding herbivores. Which fed her...
