Had Sesi known the expression, she would have yelled I told you so! in the face of every adult that crowded into the cave. But by the time they reached Raziel's hideaway, the young pup wasn't in a state to do much of anything. The trauma of their sudden relocation had short-circuited her brain, and she did nothing but hang and then slump when she was put down again, sagging against her mother's belly like a boneless sack. Scarlett encouraged her to drink, but Sesi didn't budge. Her brain had already initiated shut-down - within minutes, she was fast asleep, quartered off in dreams of sameness and routine whilst mind and body worked to patch up the damage.
