Foxes? Mordecai's ears perked briefly at the concept of them chasing down some foxes. Granted, they were anything like a young bull elk or a deer or something, but it wasn't like they'd entirely pick the whole thing clean. And it didn't quite seem fair for them to go ganking one of those from the wilderness either. Foxes would work, he decided. Small and fleet, but easy enough to corral if they were smart about it.

"If you show me where you think the foxes are, I'm more than willing to let you have one," he said with a forming thin smile. "So you have a deal." Finding the foxes would be a trick, but nothing like catching them. Mordecai didn't think there was an overwhelming necessity to rally the rest of them on — finding one bunch of them would only lead them to finding the rest.
