Pack Activity
A river-naming activity! :) I would love a speedy one. This is for an activity/mission stone: [Image: J5CcnSI.png] Message me if you'd rather have your wolf PPed in the background. No posting order, feel free to only post once to register your presence.

With all the turmoil surrounding their move, the pack was only just beginning to map their territory. Bazi, Haven, and Ayana had christened the crater to the north, but the Gamma had yet to formally name the river that arced in from the north. It was broader than the Bitcurrent, but nowhere near as wide as Swiftcurrent Creek - there were plenty of opportunities to cross, which the little group did bright and early that morning. The water was icy cold already, but the grassy banks of the river were lit by bright and rare autumnal sun.

Bazi settled in one such patch, flopping onto her side with both eyes on the water. It was clear and shallow here, carrying the red and orange boats that had started life on the branches overhead. "So," she prompted the group, crossing one yellowed paw over the other. "We've had Swiftcurrent, we've had Bitcurrent.. what's this?"

Kieran was never very far from the pack lands if he could help it. He was not getting any younger and he was tired of moving about all the time. He would leave to hunt and that was all, coming home at night. His muzzle hairs were even getting a little lighter, he thought, but had been to embarrassed to ask anyone.

Today was a liesurely day, and he was a little bit anxious for some rest and relaxation. He made his way towards the nearby river, stopping to sniff some flowers along the way. His green eyes fell upon the form of Miss. Bazi and he chuffed to her gently. He settled nearby and looked her over. 'Owaya Miss Bazi

Haven stood next to Bazi by the small creek. She was stumped. She had such a big imagination, and many ideas, but she couldn't decide on one. She looked over the creek again. It was surrounded by grass and moss, everything within radius of it was as green as can be. Even the water had a deep greenish twinge to it though it was also pretty clear. It shimmered in the sunlight, the current was soft and swift. Bazi seemed to be pretty stumped too. Haven walked towards the river and watched the leaves collect there, making a collage of greens and reds and oranges all over the place.

Kieran joined the crew by the river, greeting Bazi. Haven acknowledged his presence with a quick nod, then got back to the task at hand. What most stood out to Haven was the miraculous greens of the river and its surrounding area. She turned to Bazi and shrugged, Emerald Run? I don't know, maybe, whatever. She trailed off a bit embarrassed, though she didn't think the name she'd come up with was too awful.

I have a really lame name I'd like Pasha to say... lol... ;__; *MAKES ATTEMPT TO SET IT UP*

Rallied together, Pasha had followed with the group the site that his mother had picked out. Why exactly they were there was lost on him for a moment, but he soon recognized the stream. He had gone splashing through the narrow band of water a time or two and almost had the inclination to do so again. But he only got as far as the water's edge before the much colder tickle of its icy waters prompted him to think twice about it.

Instead it was the lilt of his mother's voice that prompted him to look back at her from where she lounged, the names of places he only knew from stories (well, perhaps the latter not so much) settling into the air. Swiftcurrent, Bitcurrent... and then Haven's voice broke his train of thought, and his head turned to look at her. Briefly, he let that gaze hover over Kiernan, sizing up his uncle of sorts silently. Was he getting smaller? Was that what happened when you got old?

Instead, his head shook indifferently.

"Mama," he said as though to protest, "why name it?" Sure, the other places they had lived had names to their little features, but Pasha wasn't even sure why. Were they for reference? Some sort of wolfy mental map that he was still establishing, or should have been establishing? A cant of his head naturally followed and he anticipated Bazi spilling the beans on their naming of such a place.
