All Welcome
This thread places your character in a situation from the first post! :)

"THIS WAY!" Sesi screeched, cutting sharply to the left. The sound of hooves and blood thundered in her head, and ropes of thick spittle was dribbling out from between her teeth. They hadn't been running for more than ten minutes, but the fear of being caught was so paralyzing that it felt as though the hogs had been chasing them for hours. It was all Sesi's fault - she had happened upon a younger member of the pig family at the edge of the Maplewood. Unaware of how fierce and dangerous a group of hogs could be, she gave chase, and soon had a large group of incensed pigs on her tail. Hunter became hunted.

The stranger running with her had been scouting the grasslands between Herbalists' Cache and the Maplewood. The pigs didn't give a damn that this individual was minding its own business, and the poor creature was pulled into the chase alongside Sesi. Not until they were crashing through Herbalists' Cache did the two speak. Sesi disappeared into the brush after her hollered message, hoping that the inertia of the chase would push their pursuers further into the forest and off their back.

Roll a 1D2 dice to decide if they get away or have to keep running. :D 2 for yes, 1 for no.

Saena's intentions had been good. Seek out another of Scarlett's brood, see if she couldn't entice them into pursuing the gamekeeper trade alongside their sister. Unfortunately, the one she found had an evident magnet for trouble; she'd scarcely spotted the youth before she took off, and when the alpha female pursued, she found herself in a rather precarious position for her choice.

As it turned out, pigs might have ignored a wolf puppy but the moment the adult wolf became visible, they'd charged, and in that they didn't discriminate. Sesi was as likely to be gored as Saena was, and Sesi was closer. Thankfully, she reacted most quickly with a screech as she flew past, and Saena fell in somewhere behind her with her heart seizing in her chest. She'd never seen a herd of pigs like this, certainly not on the prairie, and their aggression was alarming even to the seasoned gamekeeper.

She dove into the underbrush of an unfamiliar wood after Sesi, hoping for a moment to catch her breath but not optimistic about it. Pigs had tiny eyes—surely they hadn't seen where the wolves went? But the thunder was growing louder and Saena had her doubts about that was well. Her eyes darted around for any sign of Sesi, but in the thick tangle of threadbare twigs, she couldn't seem to spot the grey-haired juvenile.

Roll here! :) No more running!

The sound of approaching pigs grew louder, reached a roaring crescendo, and faded into the distance. The shrubbery exhaled shakily, and a pair of wide eyes and a snout became visible to Saena's left. Even though the danger had clearly passed them by, Sesi had the look of someone that was still staring death in the face. "I'msorry," she blurted out in a strangled whisper, shivering inside her cocoon of foliage. She barely knew the Maplewood's tailless leader, but had gleaned enough from afar to guess that Saena would not look kindly upon a wolf that put her life in danger.

Sesi was correct in her observation of Saena's mannerism—the woman was very interested in self-preservation—but her assumption that anger would follow was slightly off. Perhaps because Saena felt she owed it to the girl's mother or perhaps because she was softer than she liked to admit, she was only mildly irritated, and only because she'd made the mistake of following Sesi anywhere. She'd already categorized the quiet, timid youth as a source of trouble, but Sesi hadn't made the boars charge. Saena had done that.

Whatever, went her inner monologue. But try as she might, she couldn't place the sole blame on Sesi, and so when the youth whispered out an apology, the lead female frowned and asked, "why?" There was no point in being sorry. Sesi wouldn't have been the one to gore Saena if the pigs had caught them, after all. Perhaps, had that happened, she would've had less trouble pinning all the blame on the frightened juvenile, but that wasn't the case. They were both to blame and they were both safe now, so it didn't even matter.
