All Welcome
Shamrock eyes scanned the snowy beach as flurries came flowing down like feathers blowing through a gentle breeze. Her head hung low, tail curled over her back as she loped down the shore with no real purpose. She was a speck of dirt among a field of white, like a stain on a white shirt.

Waves crept forward to steal away the sand leaving broken shells littered along the shore like trash. Some were bright in color while others dull and bland, yet together they lay unorganized and shattered to form one of nature's fine masterpieces.

Do you mind if we post date it to today?

Frozen mud was caked onto a twiggy animal. Sofi ventured onward, desperately trying to find a stable food source with easy access. She had continued traveling almost throughout the entire day, stopping only to feed on what was likely a diseased raccoon carcass curled up in the snow. She had gone through a marsh, across a river, and through fields of white to reach the coastline. The scent of salt water intrigued her. It smelled of dead things that were unwanted and easy to eat.

As she reached the coast, snow started to come down in big clumps. It stuck to her fur, covering the frozen mud in a healthy layer of white. No matter how much she shook her coat, it made little difference to its cleanliness. At a certain point she decided she would worry about it later, and think only about survival now.

In the distance, she saw a brown thing. Sofi quickly realized it was a wolf, confidently moving along the beach without a care in the world. She had met kind wolves and unkind wolves. Today, she was not sure she wanted to gamble, so she did what coyotes do to wolves; she followed a safe distance away.

Works for me :)

Paws were drug sluggishly along through the thin layer of snow that latched itself to the earth, while the sound of crashing waves became a soothing song in the distance. It wasn't long before the coyote's scent captured the female's attention, and while the smaller canine attempted to keep a distance between the two, Ravenna thought otherwise. Cold, emotionless eyes peered down at the pathetic creature as the female began her attempt to close the gap between herself, and what she now considered her dinner. A rumble bubbled in the woman's breast as she approached, lips peeled back to reveal fangs, making it clear that this was not going to be a friendly encounter by any means.

The sound of the grey waves smashing against the sea were new to her. It was calming, somehow. Though Sofi knew she needed to keep an eye out on what was happening around her, the coast took her breath away. Each rolling wave felt like the breath of the earth itself. It breathed with her, struggling each time to ensure it would live another day.

The wolf, red as if painted with old blood, moved toward her. It was no feigned aggression the she-wolf bore but a true anger. Immediately, Sofi began to yip loudly in fear and submission. She had no friends who could help her. No one could possibly care about a lone coyote, struggling desperately to live in a world smothered by what was fast becoming her worst enemy: wolves.

Sofi barked at the wolf and galloped as best she could away. She showed her full set of teeth in a wide "grin", a submissive posture complete with tail tucked.

Sofi was positive if the wolf took chase, she would die.

The miserable mut yipped and yapped about as it began to bounce away, causing even more frustration to stir within the woman. Her slow trot swiftly grew to a sprint and as the distance between the two rapidly closed, a crooked grin found its way to the woman's maw. She lunged at the coyote, aiming to push the creature beneath her while snapping at the air hoping to catch some sort of flesh in her jaws.

I hope just jumping in like this is allowed :)
A torbie pelt emerged from the brush as a flurry of yips and barks interrupted the she-wolf's snooze. Blinking, her amber optics slowly got accustomed to the level of light and the femora continued her lazy gait down towards the racket. Her nostrils flared as the scent of a stranger was present but she barely raised an eyebrow. Seeing as the bay was a popular setting for wolves to hang out, is was no surprise that she had company that morning.

She trotted nimbly across the pebbles to reside on a patch of frosted grass, listening to the waves lap the shore with a gentle hiss, her eyes scanning the landscape for the other canine. She spotted it's dark shape due west, seemingly locked in a hunt, too busy to notice Ren's presence. She yawned and relaxed, letting her eyes drift shut but her ears on full alert.

Of course! We rolled an outcome for just Ravenna and Sofi but if you'd like to intervene in any way, good or bad, please do.

Sofi tried to gauge whether the wolf was serious or not. The wolf broke out into a run, paws slamming against the ground. The coyote pushed off the snow and scrambled to get as far away as possible. Her muscles hurt. Sharp pains ripped down her spine and legs. Her eyes were wide with terror as she ran for her life away from the creature.

After Reek, she had been perhaps too careless with her approach of the she-wolf. Never again would she make such a mistake. No matter how hard Sofi ran, the wolf was better built and faster. In a matter of seconds the red beast was upon her. Sofi felt something snap onto her hindquarters; instinctively the coyote ripped herself away and cried out in pain as she began to bleed. She sprung away, but her leg quickly became hot and stopped working as it should have. All she could feel was a terrible wet heat. The smell of her own blood terrified her.

The wolf would keep coming. Without help, this was her end.

Renn opened one eye, her ears rammed in the direction of the other wolf. Fresh scent drifted towards her, mingled with the metallic odour of blood. What on earth was going on over there? Instinct drew her towards the struggle, maybe it was the thrill of hunting, she didn't know, but as she rose to her paws and loped across the landscape, she realised that something wasn't right.

The blurry outline of a female coyote hurtled across the ground, the wolf snapping close behind. One of the she-coyote's legs seemed to be mangled but, not surprisingly, she was still running. From observing her parents, Renn knew that coyotes posed a dreadful threat to wolf pups but surely there was no reason to kill them now. A deep growl began to rise in her throat as she sped up, ready to to intercept the wolf as it raced by. Coyote or not, other predators should be treated with respect.
