Hey! I'm thinking the leader of this pack, @Reek , and meh friendo, @Eslani . Thx for the account!

Ever walked through the forest. Hungry, lonely, and upset, she felt their was no time to waste. Ever could smell the borders of a pack, but had no respect for them, as a hungry wolf was an animal of the old ways, the feral ways. She completely disregarded the scent and scrolled across the territory with her golden orbs. Finding a rustle in the grass, she swiveled her audits towards it and took up a hunter's pose. Yah, it was not her food, but it was food, which she needed desperately.
Ever tip-toed to it, and leapt, quickly ending it with a snap of her jaws. She grinned, and sunk down to eat her kill.

Oh boy E-jay, I didn't give you this account to piss off Eslani, but here we are.

Eslani had been on her normal patrol when she smelled it. Bursting through the trees, her gaze settled upon a dark female. She had crossed the borders, did she have no sense of scent? Eslani's ears laid back against her head with displeasure. Then she noticed something that put her off the edge. It had prey. With a roar (Snarl, really), she leaped at the female, heading straight for her. She attempted to pin her down and snarled viciously. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE," she spat at the female, ember eyes ablaze.

Ever's audits swiveled back in fright as the femme toppled over her, knocking the air from her lungs. Her spine quivered in fear. The femme growled out angry words and Ever was not sure how to respond. Instead, she made a move, trying to clasp her jaws around the femme's throat. She used her frontal paws to push off the female, hoping for some success. What had she got herself into now?

Quick cameo! You can act out if they see Skeet or not!

It hadn't occurred to Skeet that his job was in need, the big boy lumbered around the borders. He was walking at an even pace, though the scent of someone new caught his attention. Picking up his pace to a trot, he decided to go and check it out. He wondered if anyone was handling it already or not.

With his head held a little higher, the fight came into view. Well, somewhat of a fight. Two women were launching themselves at one another as if the were some warrior goddesses. He chuckled lightly, though believed the delta Lani could handle it by herself. If she was pinned (which he doubted), he would jump into action.

But for the moment, he stayed hidden.

Just for a bit of clarification, to quote the guidebook when it comes to the IC ramifications of trespassing:

Quote:If your character trespasses into another pack's territory, they must sustain at least one fairly serious injury in their attempt to escape.

That being said, this should be fun!

A well maintained border was a source of pride for the alpha male of the Grotto. While his pack was new -- practically in it's infancy stages -- Reek felt the strong scent brought his pack legitimacy. He set out every morning for his patrol, bright and early. Allowing himself to stop periodically to refresh the scent markers, Reek continued to press on across the southern border without incedent... That is, until he caught the scent of a strange wolf trailing directly into his territory.

Reek considered himself a lenient man, however, trespassing was an offense he would never take lightly. This grotto and the territory was essentially Reek's house— this intruder had barged through the doors uninvited. A surge of anger welled in Reek's gut as instinct took over. Following the trail in a sprint, Reek planned to fell the offender here and now. She would not escape with her life.

Arriving to see Eslani had already intercepted the intruder, Reek did not stop his assault. Without noticing Skeet lingering in the background, Reek launched himself at the intruder, jaws parted wide with the intent of taking her throat and crushing it between his teeth.

Eslani completely ignored the fact that two others had come, for she was tasked with the killing of a trespasser. The woman beneath her was feeble from her hunger and an easy target, so it was only a slight nip to Eslani's throat. Eslani, instead of whimpering, snarled and flashed her pearly whites. She took aim at the woman's ears, ready to crop them. She moved over slightly as Reek took aim, teeth still intent on the savaging of her assets. Whether or not she got a purchase, she was set for the wolf's chest next. Her maw wide, she dove, trying to rip out a chunk of fur near the woman's breastbone.

I guess poor evers in for a beating, as she's pretty weak right now. If not a beating, I'm guessing the death machine Eslani will murder her.

Ever screeched in pain as her audits were ribboned, shredded, and pouring blood. The woman then pulled a chunk of fur from her breast. She writhed and rolled, the only thing saving her from the male's sharp teeth. She whined and attempted to cover her face with her paws, attempting to close off her jaw section. her yellow orbs glowed in terror, this was surely her end. She whimpered and cried out, angry that there was a wolf looking on as the war goddess of raven fur savaged her.

Reek's teeth clamped down like a vicegrip, however, his attack wasn't granted purchase. He instead merely got a mouthful of fur, of which he tore away with violent intensity. Spitting the contents of his mouth away; Reek's lips pulled back revealing a deadly snarl as he watched the intruder rolling and writhing on her back in a pathetic display. His positioning compared to Eslani's -- who was already over the trespassing wolf -- was far too awkward to deal a killing blow, so the alpha male pulled back. His eyes, however, remained carefully trained on the struggle between them.

Seperating himself from the fray, the alpha male did not see fit to make himself useless. As Eslani continued her assault, Reek set out to block any chance of the intruder's escape by taking his place on her opposite side.

"Kill her." The command passed Reek's lips with relative ease.  If Eslani did not do her duty to the pack here and now, Reek would take the mantle upon himself to end the intruder's life.

Permission to PP granted, and to kill this character.

Eslani heard the leader's command, but had been intent on that long before his request. She slammed the woman into the ground, snarling into her ear. She dove and grasped the throat of her opponent in her mouth, testing it lightly before plunging her fangs in. She smiled at the metallic taste of hot blood filling her mouth. Yes, she was proving herself valuable to this pack. She shook the female like a rag-doll, quickly ending her life and watching the spirit drain from her yellow eyes. Still, she held the body another moment, before dropping it. She begin to cover her pelt with licks, cleaning up every ounce of blood she could. She swiped her tongue around her mouth, but it was not enough to clean the blood that covered her face. It didn't look to out of place though, as the scarlet in her coat was the exact color. She looked over at Reek, wanting to see his reaction to her savageness. Of course, some had been terrified of her ways, and others respected her skill. The woman stood over her, and used her tongue to pick a piece of ear from her teeth, and spat it out. She then swept her tongue over her pearly whites and dipped her head to her alpha.

Ever could feel her soul draining, and her audits started ringing. Her golden orbs flashed once, twice, and the light left them. The woman had had a short life, of which she had not been able to do much within, but her destiny was her destiny, and she would be reincarnated to another creature. Oh well, she had lived, and that was all that mattered.

The death of another wolf was always grim business, however, sometimes Reek felt it necissary— especially in the case of a trespasser. When the deed was finally done, and the wolf was dead still, Reek looked to Eslani with an expression that was to be construed as utterly joyless. In no way did he enjoy this aspect of his lead, but tough decisions were a part of the job. He nodded, giving the Eslani the respect she deserved for protecting the pack in the way she had.

Still, there was the problem of what to do with the body that lay still within their borders. If left to rot here -- as Reek felt the trespasser deserved -- the scent of fresh blood could attract other predators to the pack; cougars or bears, it didn't matter which, Reek didn't want to deal with it. The corpse needed to be disposed of, but without the proper time or motivation to drag her body far enough beyond the border, Reek was left with a single option. Eat.

He was not above eating his own kind— especially when necessity dictated so. Reek came to the corpse's side and tore into the flesh of it's flank. Pulling away a mouthful of sinew, Reek looked up to Eslani with a silent command for her to join him in his disposal.

Eslani felt uneasy at first but kept a poker face. It was just like any other meat, right? She trotted forwards and ripped a chunk of meat from the shoulder of the trespasser. It wasn't like she had much of a choice. As Eslani ate, she felt confused. This female had had quite a bit of muscle, but decided not to use it apparently. Oh well, it felt nice to kill again anyways.
Ick! So short!

Two wolves could only dispose of so much— a whole body was, to say the least, a large undertaking. Having never eaten one of his own kind before, Reek found the implication difficult to swallow (pun intended). He ate until his stomach churned with unease: it sickened him but he powered through, knowing that stripping the meat from the bone would keep the grotto safe from anyone on the outside who wanted to scavenge a quick meal. No longer able to stomach this foul business, Reek stopped.

Whatever had not been consumed would be stripped from the bone and buried. Pulling away from there corpse as Eslani stripped the muscle away from bone, Reek began to dig a pit to hide the lingering mass away.

Eslani wretched, almost emptying the contents of her stomach onto the ground, but just managed to keep them in. Once she felt stable again, she padded over to her leader and pressed against him in a comforting way. Of course, this display of friendliness was a sacred thing to her, and only meant for those who deserved it. In her mind, her alpha was definitely deserving. "One less set of paws to worry about...One more star in the sky."She said solemnly. With a respective nod to her leader, she drew away, once more tapping his shoulder with her nose. To Eslani, he was her kin as a packmate. He jut so happened to look it as well. She wanted to find a friend in this male, but nothing to much. No less than a friend, no more than a friend for life. She trotted away once the remains were buried, a smile on her face despite the grim scene.

As Reek dug, he felt the cold touch of a nose against his shoulder. He appreciated the simple gesture of comfort -- especially in his current emotional state -- however, he did not reciprocate. He felt a numbness in the wake of watching another wolf die. It was as if he were watching himself from a far and not experiancing the moment directly. Later, when he would finally calm down, he would come to realize it was the only way he could compartmentalize and cope with his decision to kill the trespasser.

Eslani trotted away, smile on her face as if nothing had happened. Reek stopped digging as he watched her leave, eyes transfixed on her happy expression. Discomfort settled into Reek's heart. He shook his head and continued to dig until a shallow grave took form.

Jumping out of the hole, Reek dragged the corpse to edge in an awkward, backwards shuffle. He turned, stepping over the corpse, and began to push with his muzzle until the body (now stiff from rigor mortis from the time it took him to dig his hole) rolled into the shallow pit with a dusty thud. Before a blanket of earth over the half-eaten trespasser, Reek stepped into the grave and furrowed his brow as he stared at the body -- his eyes finally settling on her head.

It was with morbid curiousity that Reek painstakingly separated the head from the body. He took it and set it staring outward with lifeless eyes from the edge of the grave. Finally, he stepped away from the pit and began to cover the corpse with a thin layer of soil. Once his work was done, Reek took the head and traveled deep into his territory, where he eventually sat the head on an ant mound. The insects would pick the head clean and on a later date, Reek would return for his morbid trophy. Of course, the skull of a trespassing wolf was no Mortimer... However, it was a start in decorating his den cave.
