Deepwood Weald BWP3: PREY OPPORTUNITY

The wolf was desperate in his scouting for food – with the prey gone, a litter due any day now and his mate now rounding in her pregnancy, Scimitar had not felt this sense of despair since he had seen his son’s face for the first time after the bear had taken his sight form him.
 
His paws had carried him out of their once plentiful woods – and right to another. The scent of blood and bear was almost enough to turn him away – except he had to be sure.
 
There was a familiar man in the woods, hackles raised and gorging upon what seemed to be a decent sized morsel. He felt disappointment rise in him as he realized who this was – Lasher, of Donnelaith. He had not wanted quarrel with the sea wolves.. but he could not turn himself away with a clear mind. “Lasher,” he greeted, the name spoken by his sister. He waited – curious if the man would invite conversation.
