A lot of shifty grins happened just then, and Shreya visibly rolled her eyes — though in good humour.

At Laurel's interjection, the old lady chuckled: you're right Laurie, it is boring, she smiled. But do you know what's not boring? she leaned in close to the girl, but said it loud enough so that the whole gathering could hear and they could stop beating around the bush: Uncle Casmir and Auntie Laika are in luurve.

Did Amber have anything worth sharing? Not a lick. She was new, after all, so what did she really have to say? What she was aspiring to be? Introduce herself? No, those weren't all that interesting of subjects, and she doubted anyone knew much about poisons and the stars to help her. But Spring was obviously looking for something said, and Amber didn't want to dissapoint her little sister.
Thank goodness, though, Laurel spoke up and Shreya took the reins of making some sort of conversation. The pale elder was the one to announce Casmir and Laika's mateship, since the pair seemed a little shy about sharing it. Weird. If Amber had finally found a mate, she'd want everyone to know. Especially if that mate was the Beta female. Still, though, she stayed silent, albeit shooting a sly smile at Shreya for pushing something to bring up.

Everyone was silent for the longest time until Laurel spoke up and announced that this was boring.  For a moment she found herself dissapointed, but knew that if she were a pup she would have probably found a meeting like this pretty boring too... just maybe not the moment of silence part.  That had been important.  Shreya though quickly came to the rescue, announcing that Laika and Casmir were in love which she already knew, but perhaps other did not yet.  She smiled brightly and warmly at both her friend and Casmir, feeling a little more confident about their relationship now, especially with Shreya's approval.  "Congratulations."

She waited a little while longer to see if anyone else had anything to say, but when no one did, Spring decided that it was time to close up the meeting.  "I happy to see what we have accompished in this meeting, until the next though I just want to say that I am very honored to be apart of such a great pack with such amazing members."  Then with those ending words Spring dismissed the meeting by taking her leave, hoping that the pack meeting had been left on a good note.

Enjoying the effect she'd had, Shreya gave a swish of her tail. The atmosphere here was warmer than the sky, but as refreshing as cool water. And when Spring one-upped that with a small speech, Shreya smiled and murmured: right back at you, sunshine.

that was Cas' cue. standing to his paws, he nudged Laika and smiled at the kids. "thank you, Spring," the boy murmured gently. looking to his mate then, the boy lingered briefly before turning to file away.

Laika laughed as Laurel screeched her opinion, blushing as soon as Shreya stopped them all from beating around the bush any longer. She smiled wide, and as Spring dismissed them all, she stood and followed after her mate, wondering if the pups would follow them.

Amber was glad the meeting came to the end, being as uncomfortable and nervous as she still was. With a final nod to everyone, the shadowy wraith slipped away to deal with her own devices.
