All Welcome
For @Amos

Paimakaron trotted along. After meeting with his aunt, he'd traveled further into the Wilds in search of more relatives. And perhaps a new home. He'd wanted to look around before sticking to one place to stay, and if he didn't find the perfect place he'd likely return to Whitepeak. This particular mountain that he climbed now sparked a bit of awe in him. One half of it was treacherous, the other half lush with light greens and forest. Below it lay a sunlit forest of sparkling color, and where he stood now at the peak of the mountain, he could see the forest below and some of it on the mountain side.

A sucker for beautiful views, Pai couldn't help but wait and watch. It was noon time, the sun right above him. It was hot, but luckily his cream coat did reflect a bit. Paws together he stared with a happy face out over the horizon.

Amos had traveled for quite some time, legs aching with newfound pain each time he took a step. He wasn't even that old. The male narrowed his eyes, upset with his own lack of stamina. In his defense, he had traversed the lands for a week just to find something new.

And that he did. A mountain loomed ahead, though it was unlike one he had ever seen. He was at just the right angle to see the two sides, completely opposite as if on purpose. One was charred and dotted with twisted trees, supposedly ravaged by a fire. Although new life sprang from here and there, the land appeared to be covered in a thick blanket of soot.

The other side was quite beautiful in contrast, though he wasn't a sucker for good views. It was everything he'd expect from a lush mountainside -- it was so different from the other side. Amos decided travel would be more enjoyable on the "more alive" side of the mountain, and began to make his ascent. He did not know what he would find, or even who he would find there, not letting those possibilities scare him away from exploring the new place.
