Second trip thread! Appologies for the rush, as soon as we reach our destination everything will get better! @Kinvara @Alkiva @Scully (We'll assume she traveled with them the whole way)! <3 @Akazia and @Jaida for reference -- we're almost there!

They had been traveling for three days now. The first stop had been at Horizon Ridge as he'd later found out, the second was at Gyrfalcon's Keep because of the rocky terrain. Today, they had made good time aross Honeyed Pasture to stay away from the Donnelaith pack. Zaavier was proud of his lot, and soon, they had found yet another forest.

He raised his tail as if he could tell the group they were stopping here for the rest of the day with a single swift movement. "This looks like a good place to stop." He told them finally, pausing on the outskirts of the forest. The sun was high in the sky at this time of day, just passing it's highest point. Birds called from the branches high up top the lanky trees. They would rest here until nightfall, then set out from there. Zaavier narrowed his eyes and peered into the eery forest. Inside, the ground was covered in green and red ferns. They were so populated, you could hardly see the forest floor. Even with so few fully grown leaves right now, they still lit up the ground. The high branches were creepy and knarly, tangling together in thick masses, but leaving the base of the trees completely clear of limbs. They allowed light to fall into the lower levels of forest at odd angles and the hazy fog limited his vision. The brute's stomach churned. "We shouldn't go deep in there. We could easily get lost. We'll stay on the outskirts so we can still see the end of the forest," he concluded for them, deciding it was their best bet.

He glanced at the girls following him with a smile. Truth be told, he was greatful to have them with him, no matter their strengths and oddities. With yet another flick of his tail, Zaav set off to scale the treeline, looking for a good place to rest and expecting the girls to follow.

Alkiva had followed what would soon be her alpha diligently while they traveled, taking time to strike up conversation with both him and the others so as to be as social within the future pack as she could be. If she were to lead them eventually, they would have to like her. Slowly, her paranoia about Kinvara taking her coveted position began to lift, but she naturally had hesitations about them coming across any other females. Secretly, she hoped, the other wolves they would meet along the way would be males. Not that she was interested in them, of course- she wanted a position by Zaavier's side, and might only use another male to test and see if he was jealous of her interactions with them.

When they came to a wooded copse where the birds sang, Zaavier proclaimed that they would rest their on their journey to the land he wanted to claim. The woods were thick and calm, alluring and mysterious; Alkiva would have enjoyed going through the forest, as she could use it as an excuse to stick even closer to Zaavier and perhaps feign a fear or two just to gain a bit of caring reassurance from him. But for the time being, they would avoid the enchanting forest, traveling along its outskirts.

She drew near him, and stretched her back luxuriously, first bowing down and stretching her forelegs before her and tilting her head back in pleasure before she leaned toward her front end, stretching out her hind legs, showing off her lean and fit form. "That sounds like a fine plan," She said, and she strode close enough to him to gently bump her shoulder against his. "Look at you, already keeping us safe from harm," She said, with a joking yet still admiring tone in her voice. She then turned to the other females, and flicked her ears forward. "All doing well?" She asked, showing her own level of concern for her future packmates.

While Kinvara was no threat to Zaavier and Alkiva's might-be relationship, given her ahem; feminine tastes, that didn't stop her from developing an infatuation with the female counterpart. She knew it was probably all an act that the female put on in hopes of sharing the single male in their band but it didn't particularly matter, Kin had had worse.

Thus it was such that Kinvara watched Alkiva often with ruby eyes, admiring the stretch the female put  on for their leader. Perhaps Kinvara didn't speak much but hopefully Zaavier wouldn't take an interest, Alkiva's books had snared the wrong fish.

Scully had decided to follow Zaavier in their previous meeting.  She had not previously expected herself to commit so fast, but there was just something about Zaavier that caught her eye.  He seemed logical enough just as herself afterall.  When the group finally came to a pause Scully eyed their surroundings, before them lay a creepier looking forest, but she wasn't scared.  It was just plants, minerals and some wildlife.  No monsters or anything.  So all in all the forest did not faze her, instead it interested her.  "Nice forest over there."  Scully remarked quietly starring into it's depths.

When one of the females asked how everyone was doing, Scully's attention flickered to the female.  She was a smaller wolf, an agouti and had gorgeous blue eyes, that actually made Scully jealous, although she did not admit to it.  "I'm doing just fine.  What about you?"  Scully responded to the female.  Soon enough the group was on the move again as Zaavier decided that he wanted to see the outskirts and Scully followed him.

Zaavier keenly watched the girls interect. He'd grown quite fond of all of them, and he was glad that they were getting along with each other. Of course, he was horrible at reading women, and he had no idea that they weren't excactly getting along as smoothly as he thought they were. Either way, it was better that some circumstances and he was grateful for that.

Alliva joked around with him and he flashed her a smirk, eyeing her pretty face before turning to Scully as she voiced her opinion of the Weald. He shrugged in return to her response and flicked his tail. "You can go explore it if you want, but if you get lost it's not my fault." He told her in a joking tone. His smile was genuinely teasing as he nudged the red female playfully.  Kinvara was silent as ever and he glanced at her with another one of his smiles. He was making an effort to get to know all of the girls in his band and create a friendly relationship with all of them to strengthen the ties of his to-be pack.

Zaav scouted the edges of the forest, settling upon a nice looking spot to rest. Long grass was beginning to sprout and the edges were lined wth growing ferns. His tail swished with happiness at the greenery as he glanced over his shoulder. "Let's rest here," he told them and padded over to a patch of ferns, laying down next to them to rest his tired paws and aching shoulder.

waited but since Alkiva has gone inactive I decided to reply

While it was true that Kin found herself physically attracted to Alkiva, she didn't like the woman's behavior. In Kinvara's opinion she was too possessive over their leader, acted as if he were her mate and she already had a right to be at his side leading. No one would ever know that at least by her own mouth.

Kinvara made no move to comment on either female's words, only nodding to Scully as she too moved to lay down next to a boulder. She kept her back to it, watching the other females around her a bit warily. It wasn't Zaavier she didn't trust nor Scully whom seemed rather nice, it was Alkiva. She seemed conniving and Kinvara would have to keep an eye on her.

Scully smiled back at Zaavier's tease, but she truthfully really did have no objective to go investigate the forest now.  There really was no need afterall when she could always do it another time, plus she did not want to get potiently lost from the group at this point in time when they were still looking for a place to fully settle in the Teekon Wilds.

As soon as Zaavier decided that it was time to take a break and rest, Scully instantly obeyed, noticing for the first time today how sore her legs actually were.  She whined inwardly.  Why had she just had to push herself today?
