Emberwood hunger

She cocked her head to the side in wonder. He was apologizing -- but for what? There was a wild look about him, the flitting gaze of a deer caught in the headlights in his eyes. She was registered as a threat most likely, assuming he had missed her soft tone of voice. Anita sat down nonchalantly instead of taking a step forward. This pup didn't seem to be OK, and the last thing she wanted was for him to run off into further danger.

"Hey, no need to apologize," Anita smiled, hoping that her demeanor was the furthest from seeming aggressive as she could get. "Nice to meet you too, I'm Sorry," she joked as if his response was the answer to her question. "I'm Anita." The girl really wanted to know who exactly this pup was. The question tugged at her mind but she didn't want to rush into questioning again. She feared it would startle the pup, though she couldn't predict his actions for sure.

"All things aside, I'd really like to know your real name and where you are from." Damn it, so much for not pressing him. "Or....maybe just your name, if you're more comfortable with that."
