Ammie was only in the Fen a day before she was off again, but this trip would be mere hours. It was more of bored curiousity that she started up the slopes of Boartusk Heights, even though the gash on her leg burned. Sebastian had treated it and she worried nothing for it, and when the need for adventure called she went. She'd be back before nightfall, after all.
It took her longer than she'd like to admit to scale the stone, but before long she was padding across the terrain of Black Morass.
Hey, look at that, there was the Fen! Turning to look over the heights she'd scaled, her home was teeny tiny from where she was standing not that anyone would know it was home to a pack. A few steps away from the edge, however, and it was gone. She was too far to actually see anyone, and the moment was over.

Her eyes, cold steel, found the woman quickly. A dull anger burned in her, mostly at herself. Though Malice and Burke seemed not to blame her, she did herself for the injury of Vassago. He was, she realized now, like her own son, so was her protectiveness for him. And now, the perfect way to work off at least some of her anger. She longed for a fight like she had with the woman of midnight, a dance without words and with merely tooth and fang.

She approached the woman dominantly, tail and ears raised and perked. Her eyes were twin moons, cold and distant. She approached this girl as she had the one by the mountain, all those weeks ago. Suddenly, she found herself wondering if they were still there. She approached the female wordlessly until she stood a mere meter from her. "What seek you here, girl?" she said evenly, a touch of biyterness tainting her words.

It was irritation that drove her from home that day, truthfully. At Sebastian, for snapping at her how he did. With Brandy, for not being around since she'd come home. Mostly because of the stranger who'd beat her a few days ago though, and she was the reason that Ammie was out for blood. Adventure was a plus, of course, but it wasn't the real reason she was out today.
"Blood of anyone who pisses me off."
Her words were sharp, icy, but a clear warning. Her own lemon eyes bore into the silver strangers steely ones, her black bottomed tail curling over her raised hackles. Her head lowered over her chest to hide her throat, defending should her words bring back hostility.

The girl was quick to anger, something that did not bother the assassin. Her own expression hardened, she met the girl's gaze without flinching. Her words brought humour to the wraith, though she did not show it, no expression visible in her icy gaze. Her own stance remained irritatingly calm, collected, though not un-alert. She spoke, smoothly; "Choose a goal you can accomplish, woman. You wouldn't want to get killed, would you now?"

This woman was clearly a warrior, like the last she'd faced and been beaten by, but this one was hardened, cold. Her pale face was blank and emotionless, and her posture didn't move. The femme's voice was as cold as her eyes, smooth and maybe unnerving to someone else.
Ambrosia was sure it was a goal, lemon eyes lashing over the others frame and deeming them to be somewhat equal. After her last two defeats, she could use a picker upper, but fate could have other plans for her.
The tawny woman stayed frozen in defence, her own honey-sweet voice hissing back at the other woman.
"I'm confident that you couldn't kill me, just as I'm confident I could draw blood."

Did we already roll to see who won this? I know think I said I was evens but did we actually roll it out?

Yep, you rolled and Aero won :D

It was obvious that this would lead to bloodshed, and Aeronwyn saw no gain in continuing with words. Instead, as soon as the female finished speaking, exactly when she did, in fact, she sprang. A fluid shot of silver, she bared her fangs straight for the females face, hoping for the same grip she had had in her earlier fights. If not, a grip of the shoulder or throat would go just as well. By barrelling straight towards the annoying woman, Aeronwyn hoped to employ the tactic of surprise, perhaps get a grip she would not normally be able to score.

Aeronwyn rushed her, and the tawny woman dashed to the side with a snarl. No more words were needed, not here, and though her foreleg burned she itched for a fight. Such a forward move was pointless against a trained warrior, and in this fight that went for both of them. She didn't stop there, slipping behind the silver woman and hoping to confuse her, go for the neck or shoulder on the OTHER side.

The other slipped around her, which Aeronwyn regarded as stupid. Being in the center, she could turn quickly, protecting most vital spots from attack. This was good, this was fine, Aeronwyn could work with this position. She seemed to be going for her neck or shoulder, Aeronwyn realized as she slipped behind her rear. She twisted, and suddenly braced her front paws and kicked out her hind legs, hoping to catch the woman by surprise and send her to the ground. It was a quick, clean kick, as she had learned not to linger when attacking, and she would try to withdraw and spin, facing the woman with her front again, providing there was no immediate counter-attack to her kick.

Swear to god I already replied to this days ago but I guess it never posted T_T

Had Ambrosia been at full health, not recovering from her journey with a gash on her leg, she would have been able to dodge Aero's kick. She didn't, though, and felt it in the pop of her ribs and the bruise to her shoulder. The tawny woman went skidding back with a grunt and tumbled over onto her side. By the time she scrambled to her inky paws, the silver woman was again facing her.
Using the same move she had on Shalon, Ambrosia leapt, snarling deep from her chest. She fell short and jumped again, hoping to land on Aero's back to claw and snap at whatever she could. With luck, they would go rolling and Ammie would have her chance to pin... Or be pinned.

The woman was caught by her kick, Aeronwyn facing her again quickly. She recovered fairly quickly, and leapt and Aeronwyn, then again. She did not launch a counter-attack, a single thought flitting quickly through her mind. Go with the motion. So she let the woman spring upon her, but instead of a counter attack, she used the momentum to roll, both of them tumbling to the ground, perhaps as the other had hoped. Her side and back burned from small gashes the woman opened with her fangs and teeth, however, the wraith paid them no heed as she finally used her pent up energy to turn and twist, trying her utmost to get the other beneath her. Get the other to submit.

Don't worry about it! Would you like to fade soon?

Ambrosia landed flawlessly, and it made her nervous. It became clear when the silver woman crumbled beneath her, rolling and taking them both down far earlier than the tawny woman had wished. She only got a few hits in before the two wrestled for dominance. Pain seared through her neck; a gash blossomed up just below her ear and soaked her fur in blood swiftly.
           There's no winning this one.
She couldn't do it anymore. She was still recovering from the famine, her travels, and a few lost fights, and Ammie couldn't win this one. But she would submit, never! Kicking wildly and rolling away from her opponent, the ink bellied woman turned and spat both blood and fur from her mouth, keeping a distance.
"Got the blood I wanted, but you win this round. Next time I see you, I'll be healthy and ready."
Turning, Ambrosia set off at a gallop down the range, looking for the best way to pick her way back down to the fen and just hoping Aero didn't come after her. Eventually, she found a place and dropped from shelf to shelf carefully, resting at the bottom for a little while and licking her wounds before limping back into her home. These wounds, she would not show Sebastian.
I'll find her again, and next time I'll win.

There was a scuffle, brief, but Aero scored many hits. For a moment, she held the other beneath her, but the dark woman writhed out from her grasp. She sprang back, pose tensed, panting heavily. At least she could be sure that she had given more wounds then she had received, and the woman, though proud, seemingly acknowledged defeat. She spoke of a rewatch, and the wraith smiled wryly. "There's always hope, deary." she said, goading. She would like to meet this spunky, confident girl again, she had been quite the opponent.

The other fled, galloping away, though Aeronwyn made no move to pursue. With the softest little humm at her victory, she too set off, loping steadily back towards her home.
