Noctisardor Bypass la vie en rose

Mojave's perpetual ranging took her further south this time, even more so than she had ever gone before. A yawn split her features as she started off again for the day, ever curious about what she would find. It had been hard to avoid the allure in following the natural decline of the glacier region into the valley, and once she had wound up there it had been harder still to turn around after a good day's travel. She doubted anyone would notice her being gone a little longer than usual. It wasn't like she was waiting on anyone hand and foot.

As the towering heights of the bypass reached her field of view, she was drawn towards them instantly. They seemed a peculiar set in what was an otherwise varied area, and curiosity often got the best of her. Was it the start of another chain of mountains like the ones she had seen from across the valley? Or were they just random instances that plotted to keep her travels from going much further? She followed the gentle curve of what was likely a narrow creek for the longest time, and then something came up almost unexpectedly. Another wolf.

Too late to change her course to avoid—not that she was keen on avoiding—Mojave called out with a bark.
