Oh... this. A feeling indescribable swept through her breast, and Antigone crept slowly into the dark shadows of the murk utterly silent, neither laughing nor grinning. Just... staring, owl-eyed, as her body was engulfed in that familiar darkness and it sank in to the very bone, her joy too great for her body to understand. She knew what home had looked like, mist-warped and earthen and muddy and dark as pitch, and this was something so close to it that she halfway expected to find her usual route home among the mangled tree roots, blindly stepping through the murk.

Almost reverently she managed to find a small swell of earth out of the water, and dripping she came to a stop in a haven of trees. Sunlight peeked through the leaves overhead, far-off beams cutting into the briny water and throwing dark shadows every whcih way. It wasn't a swamp, it wasn't exactly home, but it was dark and wet and it smelled better than any flower field she could come across. Finally, a grin split her black lips, and Antigone weaved her way to a patch of sunlight, shaking her legs free of water and pawing the earth to make any kind of mud or muck. It was the least she could in the place, to wear a little of it out on the town.
