Tigerlily was the only one awake. Everyone else was deeply asleep and fortunately she was far enough from her siblings and mom that should could escape. Hopefully no one would try and stop her this time. She let out a growl in determination as she pulled herself to her feet and then began her drunken sailor walk out of the den and into the tunnels not taking any mind to the fact that every now and then she would let out a squeak whether it be because she fell or just for fun.

This was exciting all new things to see and wolves to meet and trouble to get herself into. The world was endless. She took another tumble and she lay there for a minute debating whether or not it was worth continuing. She let out a frustrated cry  as she flopped over onto her side by the entrance of a branch to yet another tunnel.

Euphoric still from the evening's meeting, Eden was having trouble getting to sleep. Luckily, she wasn't the only one! Tiny squeaks echoed into her den along with flips and flops galore. Eden walked calmly to the mouth of the tunnel where there sat a tiny Tigerlily, lolled onto her side. Hello there, little one, she whispered as she gently nudged at the child's side. Are you lost? Though her words fell useless on Tiger's ears, Eden still tried her best to use them for comfort rather than fear.

Tigerlily wasn't laying long before she got antsy again. Though something else caught her attention. A wolf. In fact not just any wolf, the same one that had prevented her from leaving the den  before. Tiger let out a growl in frustration as she pulled herself to her feat and squeaked in frustration to what appeared to be a question from the wolf.

Tiger began to march on, in completely the wrong direction not caring if the wolf would follow her but she was paying too much attention to the tunnel in front of her to notice a large enough rock to trip her and she fell face first into the dirt. She began to cry and cry and cry hopeless and frustrated. All she wanted to do was go for a walk.

Eden laughed as the defiant child marched onward, though maternal instinct kicked in when she began to cry. Eden quickly turned to tend to the child, her tongue gently licking about the wound. It seemed like nothing more than a bump - normal for a child - and she knew that the only real pain was emotional.
Eden hushed Tiger's cries and nudged once more at her chubby cheeks, the tip of her tongue just gracing her fur. It's okay, little one.

Tigerlily whined and whined until the wolf came over and began to lick her. Tiger stared up at her with the biggest blue eyes she could muster. Ones of bewilderment and of curiousity. She wanted to know and see everything there could be out there but her legs couldn't carry her there yet.

She could not speak to this wolf her mouth did not form any words but she hoped somehow this wolf would take her someplace new. She was bored tied up in that den all the time. There was nothing there to do except annoy her siblings. She just kept staring an innocent smile playing on her maw tail wagging happily behind her now that she was getting attention from someone else. Ignoring the bump she just had.

If this was a regular evening and Tiger a regular child, Eden would've led her back to Aspen's den. But this was a joyous evening and the girl had a spark within that Eden hadn't seen before. Obviously, the child wanted to go somewhere, which Eden easily understood, being a wanderer herself. So she lifted the girl by her scruff and carried her away from the tunnels and to the very entryway. Eden released Tiger to explore what surrounded her within a two foot radius. Should the child get too excited, it would be time to return back to the safety of the den.

Tigerlily seemingly had conveyed some sort of message to the wolf because she was suddenly picked up by the scruff, an action to which she let out a squeak of slight annoyance. She was not sure where she was being taken but she sure as heck hoped it wasn't back to her mothers side.

They had not been travelling long before Tiger was place onto the ground right near a place where stone met something she had never seen before. The light was even brighter than that of the tunnels and she let out a small shriek as her eyes adjusted. She sat herself by Eden's paws and stared in awe at the world beyond the tunnels. It turns out there was still so much the little potato had yet to explore.

Tiger glanced up to eden with a wide smile before shifting to take a few steps forward onto the dirt ground. She shifted her paws getting used to the texture of the softer warmer ground before scouting around with her nose. Not really caring how far she walked. She wandered over to a plant that was still fairly close to the entrance of the tunnels and began to investigate letting out random squeaks of pleasure and curiousity as if to speak words in a language no one else understood.

Eden watched intently as the girl babbled about with a plant she'd come across. With a smile, EJ approached and began speaking softly to the child. Li-lac. Can you say it? Though she knew it was early on yet, Eden hoped that her words would go deeper than fur. Perhaps it was another herbalist sitting before her, a child born with the gift the earth.

Tigerlily sat admiring the flower in front of her everything about it fascinated her. Eden had padded over while Tigerlily was spaced out and she spoke startling her but the words were soft and Tiger quickly recovered from the initial shock. Tiger looked up at the wolf eyes wide and a slight tilt to her head. Almost asking her to repeat what she said.

Tigerlily squeaked as well and waited to see if the female would respond. She was sure the female had been telling her what the plant was but she wasn't sure if she had heard it properly. Her ears were still not perfect but she could make out some words. She just smiled at the female that stood above her her tail wagging happily.

Eden smiled back at the child, soaking in the warmth of her content. Such a tough spirit in a tiny body; it reminded Eden of Amari. Though inherently hard to think about, it brought joy to her face to have a chance to remember him. It gave her a chance to let go.
She gently nosed Tiger's cheek before lifting her once again to return to her den. Eden didn't want to keep the child out for too long, but if the girl complied, then maybe they would be able to do this again. After all, Eden was never a stickler for the rules.

Tigerlily squeaked happily as the female nosed her cheek but whined as she picked her up. I want to stay out longerrrrr don't take me back. She thought to herself quietly as she struggled in Edens jaw. Eventually realizing her attempts were failing and the female was taking her back one way or another she gave in and let out a small yawn.

Seems it would be time for a nap once she got back to the milkgiver. She squeaked one last time in a final attempt at convincing the wolf to take her back outside before she just gazed off ahead of her blue orbs watching as the den approached.

Eden carefully laid the child down beside her mother before giving one sweet lick to her cheek. Goodnight, little one, she whispered before turning and exiting the Queen's den, not wanting to linger longer than needed.
