Damien was Cicero's anchor and where would he be without his brother? But there was also the Beast, and Cicero was not sure if following Damien would lead to anywhere. If he were to leave out of free will, perhaps, but he did not think if Damien disappeared it would be useful to go and look for him, if he could be anywhere. Yet... He could not deny he likely would.

It was part out of duty to his sister that Cicero felt he must stay here, or rather, to her unborn children. He did not trust Nemesis, truly, never really had, and felt that with him gone, Potema and her children might not be able to continue living here safely, if not for perhaps Kove.
