All Welcome
Tagging @Miraak+ @Damien but anyone is welcome to join!
In truth, the winter came with more pros than cons. For one, the flurries that dusted the ground made it easier for Emma to track one of the year's final herd of whitetail. And though the sores on her pads were a pain the ass, lurking on the desensitized limbs was a lot easier than it would've been had the wounds not created a barrier.
Scanning the group, Emma quickly picked out her target -- a buck, first year, with more pride than he knew what to do with. She licked her jowls excitedly and released a howl to alert her packmates of the discovery. Perhaps Miraak would want to join (she'd become fond of the handsome gentleman) or even Damien, the one superior she felt particularly indebted to.

Winter had crept towards them, but now it barrelled towards them with increasing intensity. Miraak was stunned by how fast winter had hit them, but he adapted and adjusted as quickly as he could. The shade sought out prey on a near hourly basis, cursing his shrinking chances of luck. This day was no different, the snow billowing over him, clinging to his dark fur as he strode through the rising carpet...

His ears pricked, cupping towards the howl. Emélie. He recognized immediately. The shade trotted towards her, breaking through the snow drifts to her brown fur. You found something?

Once the male entered her line of sight, Emma took a moment to avert her gaze from the prey group and toward Miraak. There, she said, nodding toward the large buck, that one. He's young but still old enough to do some damage. Up for the challenge? She smiled, confident that he would agree with her choice, but even if he didn't, there were plenty deer to choose from.
I can attack from the rear, you can take 'em from the front. Sound good?

Emelie turned his attention to the buck. Miraak squinted at the young male. It was barely an adult, its horns not nearly the size of older and more prosperous males. She proposed attacking the buck from the rear, which, given her size compared to his own, seemed more likely to work than the reverse. The shade nodded. It does indeed, He said before slipping off to trail the buck. He followed the deer for a few lengths, waiting for any sign of Emelie being in position before he charged in front of it, snarling in a bluff.

Emma gave a satisfied grin to her new hunting partner before charging at the buck, each paw pounding against the ground with impeccable force. Though speed wasn't her forte, she had strength to spare, which she showed by lunging onto the prey's back and sinking into the tender spot between his neck and back. It wasn't long before she lost grip, however, and fell back onto the ground. Emma growled and shook it off, howling for @Miraak to come in with reinforcements. The buck was fast, but she pushed herself and soon enough, she was clamped down on his hind leg trying her best to force him down.

She did not pause to stalk or search their surroundings. With a final grin, she charged, catching the buck and Miraak quite off guard. He did not hesitate for long though. With a chuff, he flew into the fray, long before she could howl for him. As she fell to the ground, Miraak burst from the trees, picking up where she left off as Emelie clamped down on the buck's rear leg. He aimed for the creature's throat, tearing further at the wounds she had inflicted, trying his best to dodge the flailing, cutting hooves, though the sharp pains at his flanks told otherwise.
