Her hospitality had given Ghian one more chance to live. Her magic, that had been his salvation, and although he did not have any memories of her from before the incident, or anything else for that matter, Deirdre's name had become Ghian's present.

He'd come to find that he was near the coast, and for some reason, one that he could not completely understand, it felt right... As though he was supposed to be there.

As soon as his body allowed for his movement, Ghian stepped out of the root den and into the pouring light of Donnelaith, carrying his head low as he slithered his way through the sentinels and the calming buzz of life all around him. He'd spent a great deal of his time in Donnelaith sleeping, healing his body, and sharing his time with the málóid banríon for as much as he could catch and keep her attention. But the question always remained, and she did not have the answer.

The roar of the ocean was a new sound to Ghian, which raised even more questions. But the sight of it from the cliffs, with the forest behind his back as guardian, was so enthralling that the wraith could only admire it with his full and undivided attention, all questions left behind, unimportant.
